Dr. Prabodh Karnik is an Otolaryngologist (ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon) with over 40 years of experience. He has had his undergraduate and postgraduate training in ENT from the Seth G S Medical College  (University of Mumbai)  KEM Hospital and has had a stellar career with several academic laurels. He has visited several centers in the USA and Germany for further training in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Ear Surgery. In 1996 he was a Xomed scholar at the workshop at Savannah Georgia. He has been a pioneer in FESS in the country have started doing the surgery in 1987. His first workshop on FESS at Hyderabad in 1989 was attended by 200 delegates! He is a Consultant at several prestigious hospitals at Mumbai. In addition, he is a consultant to Atomic Energy, Western Railway, Mumbai Port Trust and several other leading Public Sector Undertakings. He is a past Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India. He is the Immediate Past President of the Indian Society of Otology. He is a member of the Rhinology Society of India, The Association of Medical Consultants, and the Indian Medical Association. The lifetime achievement award was distorted upon him by the Association of Otolaryngologists of India in 2024.
